Whats Included

The Starter Set includes 6 Softball PlyoCare® Balls: Purple 16oz, Teal 12oz, Green 10oz, Coral 8oz, Yellow 6oz, Navy 5oz

Our softball-specific PlyoCare® set is designed to help pitchers and fielders improve arm patterning, velocity, and durability. Each set includes 12-inch PlyoCare® Balls matching the size of a regulation softball and varying in weight for overload and underload training.

Why Use PlyoCare® Balls?

  • Improve throwing mechanics and arm path feedback
  • Build strength and speed safely with controlled resistance
  • Train solo – no partner required
  • Great for warmups, rehab, and offseason development

Made with a durable rubber shell and sand-filled interior, our PlyoCare Balls provide the perfect balance of feel and feedback. Whether you’re working on pitching drills or overhand throwing, these tools are essential for proper adaptation and arm care.

How It Works

Progressive overload/underload training

Heavier balls force your body to recruit the entire kinetic chain — legs, hips, trunk — because your arm alone can't move the extra weight. That's especially true in the windmill, where the delivery is driven from the ground up. Overload organizes the sequence and conditions connective tissue.

Lighter balls teach your arm to move faster through those same improved patterns. The reduced load lets the neuromuscular system fire at a higher rate — which is where velocity gains come from.

The combined effect: your nervous system adapts to both extremes. When you return to a regulation softball, you throw with better mechanics and higher arm speed — in the circle and from the field.

Designed In The Lab. Proven On The Field.

The Driveline Difference

PlyoCare balls weren't sourced from a factory catalog. They were designed inside Driveline's training facilities, iterated on athlete data, and refined across thousands of throwing sessions. The softball line carries that same design intent, sized and weighted for the windmill delivery rather than adapted from the baseball set.

The seamless surface is intentional — not a cost-saving measure. Seams give the hand a familiar reference point and let it fall back into the pattern these drills are built to change. Removing them removes the shortcut. The arm has to find a new, more efficient way to move.

Every design decision — the weight increments, the sand fill, the PVC rubber shell, the 12" circumference — was made to optimize a specific training outcome. Nothing about this ball is arbitrary.

Behind The Design

Slide image

Seamless PVC rubber shell

Removes tactile seam feedback that triggers existing neuromuscular patterns. Forces the nervous system to develop new, more efficient movement solutions.

Calibrated sand fill

Deadens on impact for high-rep wall and rebounder work without ricochet. Weight distributed evenly for consistent feel.

12" REGULATION SIZE

Matched to a regulation fastpitch softball so the ball sits in the hand the way game ball does. Size stays constant; only the weight changes.

15,000-throw durability

The most durable shell in the category. For daily warm-up use, roughly 2–3 years before replacement.
