Revolutionizing In-Season Training: Introducing Enhanced College Data Integration and Smart Reports
Every spring, Driveline athletes return to their teams after months of dedicated training in an environment where every movement is measured and every adjustment is backed by data. But the transition from this controlled, analytical setting to the unpredictable nature of in-season competition often leads to training gains fading as players lose access to the precise measurements they’ve grown accustomed to.
That’s why we’re bringing our training environment’s precision directly into the season. Starting this season (Spring 2025), we’re integrating comprehensive play-by-play data from all of college baseball, allowing athletes to make faster, data-driven adjustments and maintain their progress when it matters most.
This level of support was previously only available to our MLB athletes, but it’s now available to all collegiate athletes across JUCO, NAIA, and NCAA.
Why did we do this?
To give college baseball players the tools to create the right plan, make faster adjustments, and play with confidence during the most important baseball of your life.
Let’s dive into the updates and how they’ll transform the way you go about your season.
Smarter Decisions with Comprehensive College Data
For the first time, we’re integrating play-by-play data from all levels of NCAA, NAIA, and JUCO baseball into our systems. This data gives you and your trainer a detailed view into seasonal and weekly trends, enabling you to:
- Develop and execute a game plan
- Compare your performance against collegiate-level averages and your goals
- Make the right adjustments at the right time
Post-Game Smart Reports
To make this a reality we’ve added to our Smart Report line up so you can view your post-game performance in the Driveline iOS app.
In-Season Pitching Reports
- Not getting K’s, lost your command, lefty’s are killing you? – you and your trainer can talk through what adjustments to make, create a strategy before each series
- End result? – You dial it in the next outing instead of three series from now
In-Season Hitting Reports
- Hitting too many ground balls, striking out more? – Pair with your bat path data and set a goal with your trainer. This allows you to make the right bat path adjustment and have the right focus.
- End result? – Those slumps last one game instead of one month. You don’t have to search. You can dial it in right away with the support of your trainer.
Armed with this information, you and your trainer can effectively game plan, set goals, and make those small tweaks you need to get out of that slump and back on track.
For Pitchers: Smarter Workload Management
The most important thing you can do in the season to stay on the field and maintain velocity is to monitor and manage the stress you put on your arm. The new pitch count tracking feature has made it that much easier to track workloads during the season
- Accurate in-season workload monitoring for both starters and relievers without needing to wear a Pulse sensor in-game
- Dynamic pre-game workload prescriptions to manage your pre-game and bullpen routine
With these updates, trainers can focus on coaching while ensuring athletes stay at their physical best.
